Gerald Joseph Docherty sadly passed away on boxing day 2002 at age just 42. Gerald (ged)son of sarah (sadie)and john from glasgow gerald was born on 28th of august 1960 he was the 4th child born to john and sarah(sadie) he joined jim,theresa,dennis his wee sisters marie and margaret who followed later gerald had a happy life with his family in dalilea drive easterhouse he attended st clares primary and st leonards secondary school and had many friends gerald meet donna and they were married on the 28th of august 1982 his 22nd birthday they had 2 lovely daughters marie and stephanie(the apples of his eyes)
gerald was very popular with all of his nieces and nephews they loved to see him he was also a big celtic fan and he had a season book for parkhead and loved to attened all the matches(stephanie says cheers dad for the season book)gerald loved both his daughters and cared for them unconditionally..Gerald worked as a gardener at strathclyde university where he was very popular he was taken from us on boxing day he will be very sadly missed by us all he has gone to join our ma,da and young kevin our nephew now.

two teenagers have been locked up for six years each after brutally killing a man.
Gerald was taken from us all suddenlly after being assaulted by a gang of youths,the scum who did this cannot be named for legal reasons two teenagers have been locked up for six years each after brutally killing him gerald choked to death on his own blood after they punched and kicked him he suffered injuries to his head,nose,mouth,eyes and torn lips as he had been jumped up and down on repeatedly in the ferocious assault, pf told the high court in glasgow that mr docherty,s jaw and two of his ribs were fractured.the scum were originally charged with murdering mr docherty of commonhead road easterhouse on boxing day 2002,there pleas of not guilty to murder were accepted and they admitted the lesser crime of culpabie homicide.two other young men who were in the dock with them also had there pleas of not guilty to murdering mr docherty accepted by the crown the scum also admitted punching another man and kicking him during the same incident the other man is my nephew dennis docherty who gerald took for a pint for his birthday,they were given three years on probation and 200 hours of community service. the reason that our brother died was that he had been jumped up and down on repeatedly this was not described in court despite it being the basis that the crown based the murder charge on,gerald was very loving to his two daughters ,who have had to read about this and had to watch the people who killed their father walking the streets on bail.his injuries included:a broken jaw,two broken ribs his mouth was ripped open he also had extensive head injuries which led to two police officers being unable to help him.
